BECOME / GOVERNANCE

Clear roles. Clear responsibilities.

A productive collaboration starts with a shared understanding of who contributes, who decides and who is responsible for delivery.

Contact the institutional team

Research projects, applied programmes and commercial development can involve different organisations and contractual arrangements. The relevant structure needs to be clear for each engagement.

Understand the participating organisation

Before entering an agreement, request confirmation of the contracting entity, authorised representative and delivery responsibilities. Country context and individual participation are considered alongside that formal arrangement.

Define the work and its ownership

A project discussion should address scope, decision-making, resources and the treatment of information and outputs. Where several organisations contribute, their respective roles need to be defined.

Review the evidence relevant to your enquiry

Use the public project and publication records for an initial understanding of BECOME’s work. If your process requires additional institutional or contractual information, describe the documents and purpose in your enquiry.

Ask about the applicable arrangements

We welcome questions about project organisation, the proposed delivery model and the information needed to assess a collaboration.
