Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is valued for its transparency and film-forming ability, but its limited chemical reactivity and weak nanofiller interactions restrict functional tunability. Partially oxidized PVA (OPVA), enriched with ketone and hydroxyl groups, provides a versatile scaffold for nanocomposite design.
