Prof. Sherif Keshk is an internationally acclaimed expert in polymer science and sustainable materials innovation. He currently holds the position of Senior Expert at the BECOME Board Institute (France), in addition to serving as an Advisory Member at Chitelix (Tunisia) and a Senior Expert affiliated with the EUREKA Public Network for International Cooperation in R&D and Innovation (Belgium). He has held professorial appointments at University of Sfax (Tunisia), King Khalid University (Saudi Arabia), and Ain Shams University (Egypt), among other institutions.
Prof. Keshk earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry from Tokyo Metropolitan University (Japan) and completed advanced postdoctoral training through JSPS Fellowships. His research expertise spans biopolymer composites, nanostructured materials for renewable energy, optoelectronic applications, and circular economy technologies, with a particular emphasis on bridging academic rigor with industrial implementation.
He has supervised over 25 Ph.D. and 15 M.Sc. students across Egypt, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia, and has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in high- impact journals. He is ranked among the Top 2% of global scientists by Stanford University (2020–2024) and has received several distinctions, including the Best Project Award (2015) from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the Best Researcher Award (2009) from Ain Shams University.
Prof. Keshk has led and co-developed over 20 major international research projects, with institutional collaborators including USA-Egypt Cooperation, Toyota, JSPS Japan, Kochi University, King Khalid University, and KACST Saudi Arabia. His Polymer Chemistry Group actively develops advanced biopolymer membranes for fuel cells, sustainable packaging systems, and smart materials—serving both academic inquiry and industrial transformation.
